Bertrand Priour, a photographer and writer from Brittany who now lives in the Ardèche, is the man behind these images. Ten years after writing the book Voyage au cœur de l'Ardèche, he had the idea of revisiting the photographs he had taken for the book. He creates superimpositions of shots taken from the same place, at the same time but from slightly different angles, of a building, a bridge, a landscape, an alleyway, a cultural event...
In composing these images, he sketches the fleeting impressions that come back to him, years later. These are "fautographies", as Man Ray used to call them. Images that look like failures, trusting in chance, memories and the unexpected.
"Fautographies" in the villages of character, an event to be followed throughout the 2024 season.
