But the Val de Ligne doesn’t just taste like honey. There is also that of chestnuts, which can be soft or crisp, that of grapes which, raw, will delight the little ones, and will seduce experienced palates after a few years …

The taste of edible plants, prepared in candies or in drinks. The taste of fruits and vegetables, the taste of poultry, … and so much more!

In short, the Val de Ligne is delicious!

We offer you a recipe to accompany your New Year’s Eve menus: the chestnut velouté and its dry ham shavings! A delight !!

  • Ingredients for 4 persons :
  • 500 g peeled chestnuts
  • 200 g of chopped white onions
  • 1 l of chicken stock
  • 500 g of smoked bacon
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Olive oil
  • 2 dl whipped cream
  • 100 g of dry ham julienne

Preparation

Sweat the onions, chestnuts and bacon in olive oil (without coloring). Add the chicken stock and cook for 20 minutes. Mix very finely, add the whipped cream, bring to a boil, check the seasoning. Serve in a deep, hot plate. Sprinkle with the julienned ham.
